The patented Cap’n Hook Brazing Tip delivers concentrated heat up to 3100°C.
Its unique 40° flame angle directs heat onto the copper tube and away from sensitive components, reducing the risk of accidental damage. With 100% wraparound coverage, you get fast, even heat distribution every time.

We’ve received feedback from HVAC service technicians reporting significant time savings on the job when using the Cap’n Hook tip. One technician noted that not only does it speed up tube removal, but the reduced clean-up time allows him to cut a typical 3-hour job in half.

Best of all, each tip is factory-modified to fit any COMET™, BOC, or compatible torch/blowpipe that uses the standard Type 550 welding mixer (commonly supplied with the torch). Simply screw it on and set your pressures as shown below.
